Any candidate who has an M. Tech. degree from a recognized University or equivalent with 60% aggregate marks or CGPA not less than 6 on the scale of 10 is eligible for admission to PhD. program in Engineering/ Technology in respective branch. Any eligible candidate seeking PhD. admission in Delhi- NCR can apply to this popular program of JIIT Noida. An entrance test for the eligible candidates is conducted at JIIT Noida campus and the candidates qualifying the entrance test need to appear before the Interview board. The candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit in PhD. entrance test conducted by JIIT are called for the interview. Also, the candidates who have qualified for fellowship of UGC-NET/CSIR (JRF) or equivalent national level examination are directly called for interview. A candidate is required to give a short presentation related to his/her research interest before the interview committee. JIIT supports deserving full time PhD. scholars financially and provides them fellowship in the form of Research/Teaching Assistantship for a selected period of time. The successful full time or part time PhD. candidates are required to take up intensive research work under the guidance of the assigned supervisor(s) on a topic of interest for a minimum duration as specified in the PhD. ordinance of JIIT. The students are required to complete the course work of the minimum requisite credits during first two semesters of their study along with their research work. The courses such as Research methodology and computational techniques, Literature survey & seminar and Research and publication ethics are compulsory in addition to other advanced level courses related to the area of the proposed work. All the PhD. scholars are required to present the progress of their research work regularly in the forms of seminars.
